Meet Stefania Mancino: Leading Safety Integration Across Geosolutions.
As SHES Integration Manager for Geosolutions, Stefania Mancino has played a vital role in uniting six industry-leading brands — GroundProbe, RST Instruments, Measurand, Syscom Instruments, NavStar, and 3vGeomatics — under Orica’s safety-first culture.
Since beginning her secondment in 2024, Stefania has worked closely with Ben Laborde, SHES Specialist in Canada, and Rebekah Brown, SHES Specialist in Australia, to ensure a smooth transition into Orica’s Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) framework. From Vancouver to Brisbane, she brought a hands-on, strategic approach to the integration process — one that balanced global standards with local needs.

The process began with a comprehensive gap analysis and risk assessment, setting the foundation for a detailed integration plan. Stefania worked closely with stakeholders across the business, from frontline teams to remote monitoring specialists, to ensure that best practices were aligned.
Her focus then shifted to onboarding. She supported the rollout of key tools and created tailored training plans, making sure each function had the knowledge and confidence to use these systems effectively.
She also championed a safety leadership program designed to equip managers with the skills to influence safety culture through leadership, empathy and psychological safety.
Stefania’s leadership has been marked by open dialogue, real-world safety case studies, and a focus on shared responsibility. She encouraged teams to speak up, learn from one another, and take ownership — ensuring safety is seen not just as a responsibility, but as a core value.

As Stefania wraps up her secondment and returns to her Product Management role, Stefania leaves behind a strong and sustainable framework—one that will guide Geosolutions’ continued evolution and strengthen safety across all business levels, setting a benchmark for future safety leaders within Orica Digital Solutions.
