SSR-FX now with Longer Range and Greater Scan Angle
GroundProbe’s SSR-FX range and scan area have both been extended to new, greater limits. The range, previously 2.8km, has been extended to 3.5km, while the scan azimuth angle, previously 180°, has been extended to 210°. The longer range and greater scan area ensure the SSR-FX can now see more of the pit, can be deployed to bigger pits, and can be employed more flexibly.
The system’s scan time remains unchanged at two minutes. It is a true end-to-end scan time that includes acquisition, processing and transfer of data, and alarming. The system sweeps the wall fast to acquire the raw data in 27 seconds in one data set, with no stitching required. In-built processing then ensures no latencies or delays in the transfer of data to the Primary Monitoring Point. Fully-processed data is immediately available for viewing and alarming at the end of every two-minute scan – a feature unique to GroundProbe.
It’s these high-speed scanning capabilities that allow the system to manage changes in the atmosphere and deliver data faster, whilst also tracking fast-moving walls.
The system’s reliability and robustness remain unchanged, as does its ability to deliver the unique real aperture measurements you can trust.
