What is your name?

My name is Salomon Moss (everyone calls me Solly)

What is your position at GroundProbe?

I am blessed and honoured to be appointed the Business Manager for Africa and the Middle East, working with an amazing team of dedicated individuals. I have been with GroundProbe for Seven Years, starting as the Operations Manager for Africa and the Middle East and then being given the opportunity to head the Business Unit for the last two years. My business and private life is centralised around my faith and the principles that emanate from there.

I have worked in the business world for the last 20 years and specifically related to the mining sector for the last 10 years in innovative, cutting-edge technologies.

What is the best part of working at GroundProbe?

The best part of working at GroundProbe is living out my passion for excellence and teamwork to achieve an exceptional customer experience. Our customers are the foundation of our business and the core of why we do what we do. I constantly remind myself of this to keep focused and committed to our goals of Safety and Optimization through Technology. GroundProbe is an agile company that delivers on customer commitments backed by measurable actions. All our customer interactions are based on building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships to address and solve their needs.

Why is teamwork important?

I have a specific passion for driving and working to make successful teams for the common good and not self-seeking individualistic benefit. A team is only as strong as its weakest link; the stronger the team I am working with, the better the outcomes. I am also very dedicated to developing my team’s skills to align and achieve the company’s strategic goals and objectives.

How will diversity shape our future growth?

Women’s empowerment in our business is critical to driving diverse teams into the future. In Africa, we have appointed several highly qualified, capable, and dedicated female technical resources who can stand proud next to their male counterparts.
