Announcing the Winners of our Geotechnical Scholarships 2024
We are thrilled to announce the four recipients of the GroundProbe Geotechnical Scholarship Program 2024!
These exceptional undergraduate students will soon embark on an exciting, fully funded three-week training program in Indonesia, valued at $10,000 per student. During this time, they will receive advanced geotechnical training from industry-leading monitoring engineers and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art slope stability radars (SSRs) at our GSS office in Balikpapan. After the three weeks in Balikpapan, the students will have the opportunity to visit a customer mine site in Australia and present their geotechnical findings for a radar at the site.
Throughout the program, the students will work with live radar data from around the globe, gaining deep insights into slope failure monitoring and prediction. This immersive experience will sharpen their technical skills, equipping them with a solid foundation for a successful career in geotechnical engineering.
Beyond technical training, the students will have the unique opportunity to forge lifelong connections with seasoned geotechnical engineers—opening doors to future collaborations and mentorship. They’ll also experience the vibrant culture of Balikpapan, from its local culinary treasures to community sports, fully embracing the city’s rich traditions.
Congratulations once again to these four outstanding students! We are confident that this experience will be a steppingstone towards a rewarding and impactful career in geotechnical engineering.
