Meet Glen
What is your name?
Glen Copson
What is your position at GroundProbe?
Inventory Specialist
How long have you been with GroundProbe?
12 years
What makes your job unique?
I have had the opportunity to work in different roles in GroundProbe’s supply chain, which has expanded over the years. This has led to my current position as an Inventory Specialist working on implementing a new ERP system (Dynamics 365).
What is the best part of working at GroundProbe?
GroundProbe continues to grow. I can see that growth translated directly into what is assembled in our Production Department. This includes planning, materials, resources, and introducing new products. I love working with all of the individual components that make up our innovative products and watching them being assembled and shipped around the world for sale.
Please tell us a little about yourself
I was born in New Zealand and spent my childhood in New Zealand, England and Zimbabwe. After finishing school, I joined the Royal New Zealand Navy as a Signalman. Leaving the Navy eight years later, my first job was working in the supply chain as a pick-packer. I got married in 1998, and in 2000, we migrated from New Zealand to Sydney, Australia, where I worked at Cochlear (the bionic ear implant). 2007 we moved to Brisbane and have enjoyed living here ever since. I have two wonderful teenage children.
I am fortunate to have been employed by two companies that are great Australian inventions (Cochlear and GroundProbe).
