GroundProbe Goes Solar
Achieving sustainability and improved environmental practices in our everyday roles has become a key initiative at GroundProbe.
We are constantly on the lookout for ways to efficiently use natural resources to minimise our environmental footprint as well as ways to make our technology ‘greener’ and more sustainable.
We are proud to announce recent completion of the installation of 224 solar panels (two systems: 34 + 78KW) on the roof of our Brisbane head office and production facility. This unique installation has been developed to help us meet our own energy needs and reduce our electricity costs.
The installation forms the single biggest impact on our direct CO2 emissions and demonstrates real progress towards toward our net-zero targets.
Below is our ‘before solar’ electricity consumption profile for average and maximum weekdays across the four seasons.
Below is our electricity profile forecast after solar shows (in orange) how much our solar will be consumed on average weekdays across the seasons. On those average weekdays, the remainder (in grey) of our electricity needs are delivered by the grid.
This represents a clear shift towards greater sustainability at GroundProbe which we look to further grow into the future on a global scale to help us achieve net zero targets.
