GroundProbe Attends CIM 2018 Convention and EXPO in Canada
Last week, GroundProbe attended CIM 2018 Convention and EXPO; a three day mining-industry event comprised of expert-led workshops, technical presentations covering twelve innovative themes from across the mining sector, and Canada’s premier mining trade show.
Held in Vancouver, Canada, the CIM 2018 Convention and EXPO was attended by over 5000 attendees, including 450 exhibitors, and 340 guest speakers.
“GroundProbe’s attendance at the CIM 2018 Convention and EXPO was very successful,” said Chris Bijsterveld, GroundProbe’s Business Manager for North America.
“This was the first time GroundProbe has exhibited at the CIM Convention and EXPO and we were thrilled to make a good number of very promising connections with other industry professional.”
GroundProbe also had the chance to catch-up with some of our current customers who are already using our products and services.
“We used the CIM Convention and EXPO as an opportunity to showcase our latest monitoring solutions, the GML-Underground and the GMS, to the Canadian and North American mining industry,” said Robert Acedo, GroundProbe’s Sales and Contracts Manager for North America.
“Both of which generated a good amount of interest and discussion amongst attendees.
“Our team also presented a number of papers on the GMS and GML-Underground to help educate attendees on the benefits offered by our new geotechnical monitoring systems.”
As a member of the Orica Group, GroundProbe also had a presence at Orica’s booth, who were also in attendance at the event.
“By exhibiting at both our own booth and Orica’s, this gave us the opportunity to showcase our technology to our colleagues from Orica as well as their customers,” said Mr Bijsterveld.
