GroundProbe Announces New CEO

GroundProbe has announced that Brian Gillespie will step down from his role as CEO of GroundProbe, after over two years in the role. GroundProbe’s COO and co-founder, David Noon, has been appointed as the new CEO of the company.

Mr Noon began his career at GroundProbe as Chief Technology Officer and after holding a number of senior positions across technology-based roles, has most recently been serving as the Chief Operating Officer. He co-founded GroundProbe after co-inventing the original Slope Stability Radar (SSR) whilst working as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Queensland. He holds a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Queensland and is a Registered Professional Engineer.

Brian Gillespie said he was delighted to announce Mr Noon’s appointment.

“I am confident that David is the right person to lead GroundProbe at this exciting time of growth for the company. He brings extensive knowledge and experience to role that is unmatched by any other, and I look forward to seeing him take GroundProbe to new heights,” Mr Gillespie said.

Mr Gillespie is remaining with the Orica Group, having been appointed President – Latin America.

Mr Gillespie said, “GroundProbe has been the most important and rewarding job I’ve had in my career. It has been a privilege to work alongside the amazing group of people that make up this unique and vital company.

“I am extremely proud of my tenure at the company and what we have been able to achieve, but am most proud of it being a great place to work.

Mr Noon formally begins his role on the 3rd of May.
