GroundProbe Attends ExpoMin Mexico 2017 with AUSTRADE
In collaboration with AUSTRADE (Australian Trade and Investment Commission), GroundProbe recently attended ExpoMin Mexico 2017 – the largest mining exhibition in Mexico – in order to showcase our geotechnical monitoring solutions for both open-cut and underground mining.
Held in Guadalajara, Mexico, the ExpoMin conference takes place every two years, attracting over 12,000 people from 24 different countries across the global mining community.
“As far as the conference is concerned – in my opinion, it was a huge success for GroundProbe,” said Chris Bijsterveld, GroundProbe’s Business Manager for North America.
“There was a clear improved sense of optimism in the air amongst attendees compared to the show two years ago, following the recent upturn across the global mining industry.
“As usual, AUSTRADE’s organization of their pavilion – of which we were a part – was excellent and GroundProbe had a prime position at the entrance to the conference.”
Chris Rodwell, Australia’s Trade Commissioner for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, addressed attendees to discuss the exciting innovation occurring across the mining technology sector, specifically within Australia.
GroundProbe were able to meet a large number of existing customers and update them on our latest monitoring solution and first underground product, the GML-Underground.
We also caught up with Australia’s Ambassador to Mexico, Dr David Engel, who is a strong supporter of GroundProbe and our vision of making mining safer.
GroundProbe also met many prospective customers from the Mexican and Central American regions who all expressed significant interest in our products and services.
“I believe we have opened up very strong opportunities for further business with both existing clients as well as potential customers,” said Robert Acedo, GroundProbe’s Sales and Contracts Manager for North America.
