Innovation is in our DNA
Innovation is vital to our business strategy, helping us differentiate ourselves from our competitors to lead our industry.
How do we do it?
Ingrained in our culture
By having internal processes that encourage innovation, innovation has become ingrained into our culture.
We believe anyone can have a great idea, but not many can turn that idea into reality, as we can. Our quick fail-fast approach to innovative product development and acknowledgment that some ideas will work and grow while others will fail, means that we are quick, agile and well-positioned to respond to customer needs.
Encouraged, recognised and supported
To capture all ideas, big and small, our formal and informal systems are encouraged, recognised and supported.
By encouraging brainstorming ideas and solutions, we have created an open forum, building on creativity and ingenuity. Historically, ideas have focussed on a direct benefit to the customer, a change or entirely new concept to improve their work environment, or an idea to make systems and processes more efficient and manageable.
Our highly successful bi-annual “Work on Whatever” (WoW) days is an example of fostering individual and team collaboration to present an idea that the group or individual is passionate about. As a result, several technological, operational, and morale improvements have been made since the initiative began in 2018 – saving time and costs.
Incorporated into our work performance
To drive a culture of innovation, we often include it as a metric in individual work performance – to see what out-of-the-box thinking can do to improve personal performance and customer experience.
Built into our customer-oriented approach
Our customer-oriented approach to innovation and technology means our customers actively participate in our product development process to co-create value and help produce the most beneficial solution offering. This also helps to ensure our solutions remain industry-leading.
This customer-oriented approach also means our customers are both engaged and invested in the united solution – knowing it has been designed to suit their individual needs – an invaluable, mutual partnership in many ways.
Recognised as vital to our future
We also recognise that to deliver innovative, market-led solutions and remain the market leader in monitoring solutions, we must continually invest heavily in research and development, supported by our broad portfolio of patents and intellectual property.
In summary, innovation will continue to be vital to us, ingrained in our DNA, now and into the future.
