GroundProbe Attends 2022 SME Annual Conference and Expo
Earlier this month GroundProbe attended the MineXChange 2022 SME Annual Conference and Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The event attracted more than 6000 dedicated mining professionals from around the world eager to expand their knowledge base in innovative technology and learn about how the industry has evolved.
The event comprised of 120 technical sessions as well as an exhibition hall with more than 550 exhibitors, including GroundProbe.
For GroundProbe’s Business Development Team Member, Antonio Rocha, the expo was an ideal time to catch up with valued customers and to share GroundProbe’s advanced technology with prospective new customers.
“We were particularly pleased to present our new suite of tailings dam monitoring solutions, including RGR-Velox, and our most recent radars, SSR-Omni and SSR-Agilis, proof of our dedicated investment in innovative technology, said Mr Rocha.
GroundProbe’s RGR-Velox is currently deployed globally as a high-precision reactive monitoring and alarming system responsible for detecting tailings dam breaches, landslides, avalanches, and large slope failures. With the highest precision, fastest scanning power, and longest-range coverage the RGR-Velox sees more and sees it sooner. With an added revolutionary set of alarms, the system outputs alarms through a range of channels and devices for immediate action or evacuation.
Also successfully deployed across multiple global sites are GroundProbe’s Real Aperture Radars (RAR): SSR-Omni and SSR-Agilis. SSR-Omni, designed as a long-term background monitoring tool, has the highest specifications available in the market, the longest range, 360 degrees coverage ability and three levels of resolution, while SSR-Agilis is a tactical highly mobile standalone vehicle monitoring system designed to protect personnel and valuable equipment in active working areas of a mine site. By transmitting visual and audible warnings to operational crews in real-time, the SSR-Agilis ensures continued operations without interruption or incident. Being fully mobile, it is the ideal safety solution for open-cut operations slope rehabilitation, infrastructure excavations, drainage works, drilling, etc.
During the conference, Mr Rocha noted, “Our activities in monitoring tailings dams were a hot topic of discussion given the recent increased importance being placed upon appropriate tailings facility maintenance and governance.”
“I am personally proud to say that GroundProbe’s technologies have never missed a failure, so we are contributing to making mining safer,” said Mr Rocha.
Overall, GroundProbe’s attendance at the 2022 SME Annual Conference and Expo was extremely beneficial and as a dedicated team, we look forward to exhibiting at the next event in Denver, Colorado in 2023.
