GroundProbe Ranks on the Australian Financial Review’s Best Places to Work List

GroundProbe is celebrating after being named on the Australian Financial Review’s (AFR) BOSS Best Places to Work list for 2021. We were honoured to rank #2 on the Agriculture, Mining & Utilities list, from nearly 700 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review and Boss Magazine, recognises and ranks the best places to work, by industry, and is the premier list of its kind.

The rankings are based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading behavioural science consultancy, Inventium. Companies are evaluated on the policies, practices and programs that best support employees and help them feel motivated and engaged at work. Assessments are made on a written submission and a staff survey, allowing employees to have their own say.

GroundProbe was thrilled to be recognised for our achievements and practices around its culture of learning and experimentation, wellbeing and metal health initiatives, and how the organisation contributes to society that goes well beyond generating economic value.

GroundProbe is a global technology leader specialising in real-time solutions for measuring and monitoring geohazards. Our pioneering technology detects and warns people and communities of impending mine collapses, dam bursts, rock falls and landslides.

GroundProbe CEO Brian Gillespie said that GroundProbe is a vibrant and happy workplace where people are encouraged to participate fully.

“We give our employees access to formal services such free EAP services, discounted health insurance and wellbeing-related leave policies, and are proud to have four certified mental health officers across our Australian business who have undergone mental health first aid training,” she said.

“But it’s also about how we highlight the importance of health and mental wellbeing so that our employees feel safe to speak up and access services if they choose to.

“We strongly emphasise R U OK? Day, held sessions on navigating anxiety during work from home periods, participated in mental health sessions, and most importantly, continually reinforce these messages throughout the entire year in our offices and on our digital dashboards.”
